EUROPEAN Orthodontic SocietyRapid repositioning for engagement and growth in a difficult year When the first wave of the COVID pandemic broke in 2020, the EOS came to us with a problem: having cancelled their 96th annual congress, how could they continue to engage members, satisfy sponsors, and maintain revenues? We spoke with key stakeholders, assessed the opportunity, and got to work. We created a fully-branded and professionally-packaged virtual programme, designed to meet the most pressing needs of the orthodontics industry and tailored to attract different audiences. We aligned and paired the content with sponsors, and structured the programme to guarantee continuous engagement with members and non-members. Our solution included a new member system (facilitating enrolment and renewal), partner programme, social media strategy and marketing tools. We also built a completely new website and launched it within two months of briefing. - 3,200+ professional attendees (30% non-members, primarily post graduate students) - 17,105 unique visitors to website (more than doubling previous traffic) The EOS was one of several professional associations we were able to help in 2021, turning the pandemic into an opportunity for increased reach and financial growth.
