We are 40!
It’s a massive landmark week for us, and we’re excited to be celebrating it in the company of our wonderful clients, partners, suppliers and friends who’ve been with us on the journey and helped make it happen. Wednesday night is party night!
Forty years is a LONG TIME in our business – and the world of 2024 is radically different to when we started out in 1984. From big hair, shoulder pads, 35mm slide carousels and chartered flights on Concorde – to AI, hybrid working, carbon neutrality and apps-with-everything.
There are so many people we want to thank, but to do so would risk missing someone out or making you read a long list of names. They know who they are, and we hope to see many of them on Wednesday. We will be eternally thankful to all of them – each, in their way, contributed, big and small, in making TFI Lodestar the company it is today.
And what is that company? It’s our birthday, so we’re going to come right out and say the things we feel good about…
We love creating events and experiences – we love the demands – technical, creative, logistical, technological – of working with some of the world’s most valuable corporates, brands and organisations.
We’re proud of our PCO status, and of the incredible, diverse, often complicated and always important work we do for our Associations clients.
We’re passionate about the things that really matter – our people and our planet – and we have hard-wired these values into the core of our business. Every day we’re striving to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, ethical business practices, and making sure our work has a legacy. Every day we’re showing our commitment to the quality of life and mental wellbeing of our incredibly smart and hardworking team.
We’re inspired by our clients to always find ways to do better, and to help them on their own journeys to connect with their audiences and grow their communities.
It hasn’t always been easy – nothing worthwhile ever is. We’ve ridden the waves of fortune, surfing the ups and downs, booms and busts, recessions, setbacks and a pandemic or (technically) two. It’s entirely due to our clients, friends, partners, suppliers, and, of course, our brilliant team – the best in the business – that we’ve made it to 40.
So, thank you. Forty glorious years! We have a lot to look back on, and a lot to look forward to. We’re grateful.
