Transitioning effectively to a virtual platform
In June 2020 the European Lead Battery Conference hosts took the decision to switch this year’s event from the physical to the virtual. We responded quickly. By September we were ready to go live.
Our first challenge was to adapt the existing agenda and content to ensure its effectiveness online. We achieved this by creating a blend of live and pre-recorded content. We built safe environments in studios in Germany and the UK for live keynote speakers, with panel and Q&A session participants video-calling in from across the globe.
Our chosen virtual platform ensured that sponsors and exhibitors were not only able to maintain the same high profile as at a physical event, they were additionally able to see who had interacted with their content and for how long.
