BRITISH SOCIETY OF GASTROENTEROLOGY - BSG LIVE’24
Focus on sustainability

In 2024 we helped the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) deliver their annual flagship event for 2,500+ gastroenterologists and hepatologists, with a new and groundbreaking focus on sustainability.
We radically reduced paper and plastic (eliminating single-use plastics) and made two of the four conference days meat-free, offering delegates menus of delicious vegetarian and vegan meals and snacks.
We used ‘Campus’, as the virtual platform for travel-free international speakers, plus an on-demand content library giving delegates an opportunity to view sessions without travelling in person.

We introduced major sustainability innovations – from a new approach to displaying 600+ posters (mini posters with QR Codes) to enhancing the use of technology as a vehicle for information sharing.
We partnered with Event Cycle to repurpose everything from graphics panels and Foamex boards to toys from the family room, reducing environmental impact while increasing community impact.
“The donation of toys will enable us to enrich our play resources, giving our youth sessions a much needed boost with new things for our children to play, engage and get creative with” Balsall Heath CATS Team
